Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee operations at our residential plumbing company. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive plumbing industry knowledge, and a proven track record in management. They will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing daily operations, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company standards.
    • Develop and implement business strategies to meet company goals.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Supervise and mentor staff, including plumbing technicians, customer service representatives, and administrative personnel.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets to ensure profitability.
    • Accurately price jobs and services to align with market standards while maintaining company margins.
    • Identify opportunities to drive revenue growth and implement cost-control measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure company compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
    • Maintain proper licensing, including the Registrar of Contractors (ROC) plumbing business license.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and excellence.
    • Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the residential plumbing sector.
    • Collaborate with marketing to increase brand awareness and market share.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience:
    • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within the plumbing service industry.
    • Previous work experience as a licensed plumber with comprehensive hands-on knowledge of plumbing systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong business acumen with a track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
    • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
    • Expertise in accurately pricing jobs and managing service contracts.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in using industry-specific software and technology to manage operations.
  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Plumbing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Additional Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Arizona plumbing codes and regulations (preferred).

License Requirements:

  • Active ROC plumbing business license.
  • Valid plumbing license with demonstrated field experience.
