Essential Job Functions:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality standards, driving revenue growth, and identifying and developing future leadership within the restaurant.

This is an exempt management position and is not eligible for overtime

Essential Job Functions:

1. Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Create a positive and productive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee development.
  • Set performance goals for staff and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure goals are met.
  • Champion and drive Ling & Louie’s Restaurants Culture, ensuring that Core Values and Ling & Louie’s Hospitality are consistently upheld and embraced by all team members.

2. Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including but not limited to, inventory management, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food quality guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for operational efficiency.

3. Customer Service and Satisfaction:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews to continuously improve the guest experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

4. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
  • Drive sales initiatives and promotional activities to increase revenue and maximize profitability.

5. Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate pricing to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.

  • Must have the ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.

Education and Experience:

  • High School education required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of full-service restaurant experience required.

Special Working Conditions:

Position requires extensive interaction with the public and all levels of employees both within and outside of organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise, odors, fumes, temperature fluctuations, grease and other conditions associated with a restaurant.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
  • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities to include: distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to continuously use fingers to bilaterally operate point of sale equipment, prepare and serve food/beverage items.
