B-Level Technician
At Champs Family Automotive, a B-Level Technician is a skilled professional capable of performing most repairs on gas, diesel, and RV drive trains. This role requires the ability to inspect vehicles and write up recommendations independently with minimal assistance.

Main Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance inspections.
- Visually inspect fluids, belts, and other components to determine if they need replacement.
- Accept guidance from peers and ask for assistance when needed, focusing on advancing skills in electrical and emissions diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and job-related documentation.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
- Follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform basic services such as fluid flushes, brake jobs, shocks, oil changes, etc., without assistance.
- Pull diagnostic codes with minimal help.
- Accurately diagnose most basic drivability concerns, including noises, leaks, and AC issues, while seeking assistance for more advanced issues.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an automotive technician, with expertise in gas and diesel repairs; experience with RV drive trains is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing basic maintenance and repairs independently.
- Certifications: ASE or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Tools: Must have a personal set of tools suitable for the role.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Teamwork: Willingness to accept guidance and collaborate in a team setting.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining a clean workspace and delivering high-quality repairs.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose basic vehicle issues accurately and independently.
- Driver's License: A valid driver’s license is required.
